Preparation
  • All paintwork should be thouroughly dry before sanding and coating. Especially skirting boards.
  • Do not allow silicone based products to come into contact with timber floor before completion of sanding and coating as this will cause rejection of the coating.
  • All furniture in areas to be sanded and coated must be removed by client and any breakable objects on shelves or walls, such as paintings, photos, or clocks etc.
  • If bathroom or toilet is to be sanded and coated toilet pan must be removed by client prior to starting any work
  • Freestanding dishwashers or stoves also need to be disconnected in effected area
  • Unless otherwise quoted for, all floor coverings should be removed by client, including any staples, tacks and carpet gripper etc. prior to starting any work.
  • Adequate lighting and power (240 volt) to be provided by client to work area. We do not use generators.
  • Client is to provide clear and safe access to the site.
  • Due to the high toxicity of polyurethane, it is highly recommended that you vacate the premises until at least 24 hours after the final coating is applied, especially pregnant women, young children and anyone with allergies or respiratory problems such as asthma
  • Seal any vents or fireplaces that will allow dust to enter the room.
  • Curtains and drapes should be up off the floor. Fold them into garbage bags or hang them up with a coat hanger.
